Tottenham Hotspur have identified Chelsea winger Pedro Neto as a backup option for this summer transfer window, according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano. "Pedro Neto is a backup in case something happens for Savinho, something happens for Gakpo, Pedro Neto is a backup, but he's not the top priority." Neto enjoyed a good run of form at the West London club in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive performances for them in the final third. The Portuguese talent featured in 52 matches for Chelsea last season, scoring ten goals and securing ten assists on all fronts. The 26-year-old is currently one of the most talented wide players in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that the Blues are eyeing a move to land him in this transfer window. His current contract at Stamford Bridge will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on the cheap in this transfer period. Neto is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and can strike the ball with power from long range. The Portuguese talent can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. Neto mainly functions as a right-winger but can also play as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if needed.
