Deal Details

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, who will sign a five-year contract running until June 2029. The club has agreed a fee that will not exceed £60 million after deductions, although the move has also been valued at £75 million. The total package for the two City forwards is currently estimated at £140 million, with the combined deals potentially reaching £160 million.

Savinho and Marmoush

Tottenham’s double-move strategy also includes Brazilian winger Savinho, whose transfer has already been finalised. Spurs agreed to pay £75 million plus £10 million in add-ons for Savinho, while the winger’s move has been valued at £75 million. The club aims to complete both transfers by Monday, a deadline that has spurred a flurry of media speculation.

Reactions

Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham’s head coach, said that Marmoush would play a key role in the club’s attacking rebuild. “Omar is an important part of our plans,” De Zerbi told reporters. In contrast, Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca insisted that Marmoush had not asked to leave the club. “Omar is still here, still with us. He is different to Savinho, so we will see what happens,” Maresca explained, noting that Savinho had communicated his desire to leave from the beginning of the coach’s tenure.

Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and has been a regular contributor in the Premier League. The Egyptian forward’s move to Tottenham is seen as a significant step for both clubs, with the Spurs hoping to strengthen their attack while City look to re-structure.

The latest development follows Spurs opening talks with City over both forwards. While the exact figures remain unconfirmed, the consensus is that the deal will be finalised soon, with the two players expected to join Tottenham for the 2026-27 season.
